At some point in the future the MPC will increase interest rates, most likely by 0.25%, the smallest increment of increase / decrease generally used.
At this point I predict the media will term this a 'hike' frequently.
However a hike is a lengthy and substantial thing; a quarter percent just ain't, if anything it's a modest tweak.
And don't get me started on 'green shoots....'.
